Hi TheDonch,

I'd just like to note, that the space efficiency data that you have there, seems to be wrong. For a fact, I know that certain more expensive buildings take less space than cheaper buildings. For instance, Nori Place is small, smaller than Fortress and Grid buildings. I often use it to fill in cracks between my larger buildings. The same goes for some of the skyscrapers (which I had the fortune of testing out once my income was high enough pre-relaunch). So, as the data currently lies, a significantly greater value needs to be attributed to some of these buildings. I know that the Photat building, highly rated in your analysis, is one big-ass mofo. I've built a bunch as a result of testing the analysis, and in my opinion, it's better to go for the Honeycomb Complex / Nori Place, if you are looking at space-efficient level 2s. For level 3s, I know that Tri-Rectangle is pretty fat. Spear End Summit and Unbounded Megaplex, on the other hand, are decent choices. Again, this is "space-wise", not "efficiency-wise". I haven't built enough level 4s to be able to tell which ones are good, but I suspect if you take a look at the building sizes as you build them, it might give you an idea of how space-efficient they are.

Hi Cyrilix,

good points! It seems a lot has changed after the reset, especially regarding over M 1,000,000 street valuations. I'll try and do more accurate analysis of space usage this weekend. It's hard to measure though, might have to get a ruler out onto the screen!

Cheers!

In your original space analysis, did you simply count the number of cones and normalize it to the number of cones on the lowest building (green house)?

Sort of... I just assumed that the Monopoly Tower was the most space-efficent and normalised down from there relative to rent earned. Have a look at the spreadsheet, it's got the formulas in. There's definitely room for improvement there, if you want to make it more accurate. I've just been going Grid Building crazy, it gets you a lot of rent quickly.... :D

I wasn't thinking. In order to get the number of cones to show up, you have to have enough money to buy the building (and click on it), therefore unless you had 100m, you wouldn't have been privy to such data! I'll keep you guys updated when I get to test out my cones theory.
